A good place to start exploring at Monastiraki Square Walked past Hadrian’s library to the Roman Agora, the ruins in plain sight along the road. This is a picture of what’s left of the Roman Agora While most of them are in various state of ruins Walked around the Acropolis and found this charming Church of the Transfiguration walls made of stone As we circled around the Acropolis, the height gave some good views of the Ancient Agora and the Temple of Hephaestus. After walking really long, we came to the bottom of the Acropolis along Dionysiou Areopagitou street, which gave us a view of the Acropolis. We wanted to visit but it was too late. Should have never walked from Roman Agora. Seeing that we most likely didn’t have time to visit the Acropolis, we walked back along the same path to take the subway to National Archaeological Museum, passing by the Acropolis museum, which was worth a visit too. But not before a quick walk to the Hadrian’s Arch Before getting onto the same Dionysiou Areopagitou road to get to the subway The Akropoli subway is the nearest subway to the Acropolis, and we were taking it to Omonia station and another walk. This is the National Archaeological Museum
