Update: These trees grew from the seeds that were deposited in between the loosen stones (through the typical seeds dispersion by animals like birds). As they grew, the roots entwined with the stones forming a hybrid structure supporting both the building and the trees!

Fun Fact Friday - This platform was used as a viewing deck for the king to watch parades and performances happening at the large space below. What’s interesting is that many centuries later, this was still being used in modern times, like the time when the large space was used to host 4999 dancers which was a world record for Cambodia.

Update: This walkway is indeed a walkway but not for fashion models! It is an elevated walkway which is about 225m long that leads from the entrance to the center triple tier pyramid temple. While it does look like a runway for models mentioned by many, it is definitely plainly a causeway to the temple. You should check out the comment that it is a giant coffin, that was pretty funny 😂

Update: This is about a cow that is suckling a child and sheltering another child found under the cow’s chin. That is easy (or not? 😂 ) to see. However, the interesting part of this relief is that the children there are supposed to represent the Pharoah Hatshepsut and the cow represents the Goddess Hathor, who is the Goddess of the sky, of women, of fertility and love.

My week is 👌. Had to bring my 15 year old car to the workshop because clanging sounds and jerky movement is scaring the family. Turns out that there were already some problems that was able to resolve without too much problem. Now it’s back on the road with me.

In Singapore, our vehicles can only be obtained after purchase of a certificate, called the COE. The price of this piece of paper depends on demand and supply and recently have been in the range of 70k to a peak of 120k these couple of months. This makes long term car ownership almost impossible without selling a kidney. One of the problem with staying on an island country. Thankfully I still have 5 years on my car before the next certificate purchase 😮‍💨

My week is 👌. After trying to hire people for so long, there is finally some good news to how the team can eventually work out. 😮‍💨 it’s so challenging to find the right fit even as there are interested candidates, it’s often a mismatch of experience and expectations….

This morning I was asked awoken up a loud bang coming from the road. When I got up and looked, there was a horrible accident that happened, a school bus was hit by a car which can be seen burning just ahead of the bus. A police car had also arrived, which i found out later that it was actually pursuing that car. Incredibly no one was seriously hurt thankfully! But I hope the driver doesn’t get away that easily 😠
